Folklore with Ademola

Ademola Makinde

Dear Reader,

It’s another beautiful week and I’m currently writing to you from the beautiful city of Abeokuta.

Indulge me, if you could describe your day with a song, which song would it be?

For me, it would be “So much to Say” by Ademola Makinde.

Beloved, isn’t it beautiful how Christian Music has changed over the years?

How drums and guitars replaced Pipe organs?
How Christians have made bold steps outside of the church and our music can be found on Radio, TV, Christian events, and streaming platforms?

How we have different genres ranging from Christian Rock to Metal, Rap, Country Music, Afro-gospel, Folklore, Alternative, etc.

In this day and age, Christians are blessed to have music in different genres to listen to. Although, it has required sacrifices from Christians who were bold enough to make music that kept up with the changing times.

The change itself hasn’t been overnight. Having taken many years to birth, it reaches us on a level we can understand and feel.

One of those resilient Christians is ADEMOLA AYOMIKUN MAKINDE

Ademola Makinde is a singer and songwriter who believes he is on a musical assignment to write to the world about God’s love, with his pen.

Ademola believes his songs are seasonal and instructional, with sweet melodies that draw the heart of men closer to God, the father.

In August of 2023, he released a single titled “So Much To Say” which attested to the character and love of God.

Aside from his melodious and soulful releases, Ademola has also been featured on several projects. Most recently, a spontaneous worship with Ty Bello - “I cast my idols” and “Give Praise”.

If you’re a fan of Folklore, Alternative, or soulful Christian music, Ademola Makinde’s discography is definitely one to explore.

From “All my eggs” to “Seen” and most recently, “So Much to Say”, his music is worth looking forward to. And thankfully, you wouldn’t have to wait that long for new music from the “Egg Man” as he is often called.

He has generously revealed via his social media accounts that he would be releasing a new single titled ‘OLULANA’.

OLULANA is a Yoruba word for ‘Waymaker’ and I believe every man is meant to experience God in this way.

I wouldn’t want you to miss out so I’ll suggest you pre-save his new music and enjoy this gift of sound firsthand.

Beloved, I enjoy writing to you and I can’t wait to read your reviews about Ademola Makinde’s songs.

In the meantime, you can listen to a playlist full of his songs that we curated just for you ☺️

Your sister who enjoys good music,

Koko 💛
