HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US

Dear Reader! I’m so excited today, and for two reasons.

One of which is that the first half of this year is about to be over and I’m anticipating a chance for a fresh start in H2 💃🏽

The second reason being that, today, the 26th of June 2023 is a special day for The Jesus Talks Media! 💃🏽🎉

Before I go on, a quick introduction 😄

My name is Helen and I write for The Yellow Mail (the mail community of The Jesus Talks Media). However, today, I’m stealing the thunder from Bukola and Koko because it’s our birthday, and I have something exciting to share with you 😊

So, permit me to be here, just for today! 😁

Now, back to what I was saying;

Our radio, The Jesus Talks Radio, the first expression of our media company, alongside us clock 3 today! Isn’t that amazing? This God-given vision is 3 years old today!

Our journey has been a wonderful ride, a testament of God’s goodness, and I am so grateful to God for how far He has brought us.

To celebrate, I had a written interview with the visionary and founder of TJTM about the radio station. I wanted her to share with you how the journey to 3 has been. I hope you enjoy reading it and ultimately be inspired to DO what God will have you do!

Interview with Hadassah

1. How did the vision for TJTR come about?

Response: It was during the COVID Pandemic in 2020. I was back home from University and I spent most of my time praying and studying. At the time, I had started to listen to Celebration Church on Mixlr. During one of the services, the instruction came. The idea was conceived and I haven’t looked back since.

2. At what place in life were you when it came?

Response: Well, I didn’t have anything I was doing, I was idle and I was really spending time with God and just seeking his face.

3. What was the first move you made in starting this vision?

Response: I think I told a friend and I prayed some more because I needed confirmation for the name. And then, I opened a Mixlr account for the radio.

4. What is the mission of TJTR?

Response: Our mission is to bring men to the light and knowledge of Christ Jesus through our broadcast.

5. Who was the first volunteer and what was their role?

Response: The first volunteer no longer works with us. Their role was to host a show on the radio. The second oldest show on the radio right now #IntimacyonTJTR.

6. Looking back, how do you sincerely feel about TJTR’s progress?

Response: I feel like we have come a long way. But, I also feel like there’s still so much work to be done. And we will, by God’s Grace.

7. What are we to expect from TJTR in the future?

Response: More Christocentric work. Hopefully we get a studio space soon and kickstart a lot of our projects.

8. Who are you most grateful to in the TJTR’s journey, and why?

Response: God first before anyone else. He’s been our backbone really. Our entire existence is because of Him. And then if I was to pick someone else, I’d say someone but they’re not with us right now. I thank them for holding down the fort for two consecutive years. They did amazing.

9. A word or two to the volunteers of TJTR.

Response: Thank you. That’s really all I can say. All the volunteers are phenomenal. They’re God’s gift to me, to all of us.

10. A word or two to those who follow TJTR.

Response: Thank you for your constant support, for following us, and cheering us on. We wouldn’t be here without you too. So, thank you. However, we’re just getting started. So, don’t stop. We need you now more than ever. God bless you!

That was so beautiful! Hadassah is so phenomenal and she shows us that obedience to God is key.

I hope you are inspired to be and do all that God wills for you. And I pray that you live everyday of your life purposefully and intentionally in obedience.

If this blessed you, ensure you share it with a friend and do well to join our mail community 😊

Don’t forget to also send us a congratulatory message on our social media platforms! We’d really like that 🥰

Thank you for letting me borrow your screen time Bukola and Koko. And another thank you goes to your amazing readers for always reading The Yellow Blog.

I am your sister in love,

Helen from The Jesus Talks Media
